| After lots of time, energy, and hard work, I finally got my dissertation study online. If you're an Asian American man, please help me out by filling out my online survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=806303602761 If possible, please also forward the message below to people you know. Thanks!
Richie -------------------------- Hello. My name is Richie Wong. I am a 3rd year graduate student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in San Francisco. I am looking for Asian American men ages 18 and older to participate in my study. The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a scale that will be used to measure Asian American men's perceptions and beliefs about themselves and others. This scale will be used to understand how Asian American men's perceptions and beliefs relate to their social attitudes and identities.
Participation will involve filling out an online survey that will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be kept completely anonymous. Upon completion of the survey, participants will be able to enter into a raffle for a chance to win a $100 Gift Certificate to www.amazon.com. One gift certificate will be given for every 100 participants.
If you are interested in participating and/or would like more information, please click on the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=806303602761
If you have any questions or concerns about participating in this study, you may contact me any time. You can reach me at (415) 317-4350 or rwong@alliant.edu. You can also contact my advisor Dr. Tai Chang at tchang@alliant.edu.
Thank you so much for your time and participation. Please forward this message on to other people you think might be interested in participating. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Richie Wong Note: This study has been approved by the AIU Institutional Review Board. (415) 955-2151

| so going up north didn't turn out as i expected. to start things off, i found out right before i was about to leave for sf that we weren't actually going to sf, but to santa rosa. yeah, i was pretty frustrated with my mom for giving me false information. i thought about not going but decided to go anyway. i drove the whole way up and instead of going straight to santa rosa, we (me, mom, dad, bro) stayed at my younger bro's apt in berkeley. that was alright. his roommate was gone so i slept on a pull-out sofa.
the next morning, my uncle came to pick us up, we had some more chinese food (sarcastic yay), and then he drove us back to his new home in santa rosa. two of my younger cousins live there too so i played with them a lot over the weekend. played lots of ping pong (got whooped by my uncle a few times too), went razor scootering for the first time.. haha, played some basketball, climbed a hill, went to some arcade place called the "funky monkey", played some dance dance revolution..haha, and that was basically the extent of my weekend. it would have been cool to see some peeps from san jose, but i was too lazy to drive there.. just as they (or at least anthony.. haha) were too lazy to drive to santa rosa. maybe next time though. | | |
